Good Morning Friends. Alright, if you’ll recall with me, Meah talked about stress this past Monday on her blog post. She discussed how a bit of stress can be good and even a motivating force. This is a great point and certainly true. However, now, let me expand upon that point with two point of my own. First and foremost, a bit of stress is good, however, too much stress is not a good thing at all. Too much stress can overwhelm you and cause you to become fatigued, agitated and just not be happy at all. So, the big question, how do you make sure that you’re not overly stressed? First and foremost, try to figure out what is stressing you out and why. There are two categories as I see it. First, let’s say what’s stressing you out is, you have a big test tomorrow. How do you handle that stress? You could study and prepare for the test or if you’ve already done so, then you could go somewhere and take your mind off of the looming test. Now, the second situation is a bit harder. You have a friend or relative that is having a hard time with something, maybe they’re sick or maybe they’re having a hard time with something else. Well, you can call them and talk to them. It might relieve some stress to talk with them. However, there’s not much you can do to relieve this stress. In the first example, the stressor is in your control and you can help manage your stress. In the second, the stressor is not really in your control and if you get overly stressed about it, it would not be good, because there’s nothing you can do about it. My point is, with stress, you have to look at what’s stressing you and say, how can I relieve myself of this stress in a safe manor? In addition, you also have to ask yourself, will I be able to do anything about this or help this person by stressing over this? The key with Stress is to control it and not let it control you!
Alright, well, that’s about all the time I have for this week, so, until next week, take care, be safe, and goodbye everyone, have a great weekend, I’ll see you right back here next week!
